Eric R. Bowden

A principal attorney at Colombo & Colombo, P.C.  Eric is from the small town of Au Gres, Michigan located on the shores of Saginaw Bay. He graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and throughout his college summers, Eric worked for General Motors and Delphi in Flint and Saginaw, Michigan.

A few years after graduation, he decided to enter law school and thus began his journey at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan.  During law school, Eric continued with the automotive theme and worked in the office of the General Counsel for Ford Motor Company. After graduating from law school, Eric joined the firm of Colombo & Colombo, a firm steeped in automobile and dealership law history, which was founded in 1905 by Louis J. Colombo, Sr.

Carrying on the legacy of dealership law guru’s found at Colombo & Colombo, Eric is known for his ability to quickly develop legal strategies for any dealership legal matter; and for his structured approach to helping dealerships avoid legal problems.

His practice centers around advising and representing automobile dealerships.  Specifically, matters involving: Contract Disputes, Class Actions, Lemon Lawsuits, Odometer Fraud, Truth in Lending Violations, Franchise Disputes, Secretary of State Related Matters, EEOC Matters, Employee-Related Matters/Lawsuits, Regulatory Compliance, State and Federal

Most importantly, Eric serves as a trusted advisor to his dealership clients who know that Eric understands their needs and issues, the day-to-day operations of their businesses and the problems and struggles that they encounter on a daily basis.

Eric is also an annual presenter on legal issues affecting dealerships at a seminar organized by the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Colombo & Colombo is a member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC).
